JIBIKA is an initiative of DRRA to create and access to livelihood opportunities for Persons with Disabilities to lead a dignified and quality life in the society. The Jibika model targets people are community-bound because of their disability. The initial group of participants are selected through physical and psychological assessments. The groups then split based on the climate condition, income status, marketing facilities, and availability of resources, with groups selected for aquafarming and for vegetable cultivation and vermicomposting. After that, capacities are built, connections are made, finance is made available and branding and marketing support are provided for the right holders to succeed in their initiatives. We provide modules in Braille, sign language, and video according to the participants’ needs.
